State Supplementary Payment (SSP) Rules
West Virginia does not provide a State Supplementary Payment (SSP) in addition to federal SSI. Recipients receive the base federal SSI payment rate.

Office Walk-Ins & Hearing Offices (OHO)
Since January 2025, West Virginia field offices require an appointment for in-person service, including Social Security card requests — book online or call ahead before visiting.
